Kwemoi and Langat on start line for 2024 tRUNsylvania 10K

Two-time Olympian Millicent Kwemoi of Kenya and former World Cross Country Champion Geoffrey Kamworor of Kenya to headline field for 2024 tRUNsylvania 10K

The 2024 tRUNsylvania 10K, set for May 26, 2024, in Transylvania County, North Carolina, will feature a pair of international stars in the women's and men's fields.

Millicent Kwemoi, a two-time Olympian for Kenya and the 2016 world half marathon champion, will be making her tRUNsylvania 10K debut. Kwemoi has a personal best of 66:35 for the half marathon and 30:54 for the 10K. She was the 2016 winner of the Paris Half Marathon and the 2017 winner of the Lisbon Half Marathon.

Geoffrey Kamworor, a three-time world cross country champion from Kenya, will also be making his tRUNsylvania 10K debut. Kamworor has personal bests of 58:01 for the half marathon and 26:52 for the 10K. He won the 2019 New York City Marathon and the 2021 Tokyo Marathon.

Kwemoi and Kamworor will be joined by a strong field of international and national runners. The race will be held on a scenic course that winds through the rolling hills of Transylvania County. The race starts and finishes in the town of Brevard.

The tRUNsylvania 10K is one of the most popular road races in the Southeast. The race attracts runners of all ages and abilities. The race is also a Boston Marathon qualifier.
